My acupuncture treatment

I claim to offer “painless and fearless acupuncture”. I start my treatment with ultra-fine needles with a diameter of 0.12 mm. With needles this thin, “pain and fear” do not occur very often.

If the stimulation of these needles is sufficient for you, I will proceed with the treatment as it is.

However, not all of the treatment is completed with these fine needles, and those whose symptoms are deeper often require deeper needles.

For example, deep acupuncture is often used for those who have bone and cartilage deformities or numbness in the limbs (not a medical disease).

Acupuncture can touch deep reactions that people cannot touch and can bring the acupuncture point to the inner muscles. This is a great advantage of acupuncture.

When touched by hand, a single point is wide enough to stimulate healthy tissue, but acupuncture needles can reach the affected area with a single, very small point.

Even so, it is difficult to provide acupuncture needles that are highly effective.

Difficulty 1) Finding the right type of acupuncture needles and the right amount of stimulation for the person to be treated.

Everyone’s body is different, so we have to decide what kind of needles to use and what kind of treatment to provide, depending on the constitution and symptoms.

If we provide too much stimulation or changes that the person’s body cannot handle, the treatment will be a failure. On the other hand, if the stimulation is too weak and the physical changes are too small, the patient will not keep the next appointment.

We listen to the patient carefully, touch the patient’s body, and obtain more information from the body in order to provide a treatment that is appropriate for the patient’s body.

Difficulty 2) Accurately understanding the symptoms and reactions in the body and accurately taking pressure points.

First, we observe the patient’s movements when he/she first comes into the treatment room, standing, sitting, etc., and observe where there is tension in the body, where there are indentations, where there are distortions, and where there may be pain.

Then I talk with the patient and check and reconsider whether the information I have observed corresponds with his/her complaints or not.

However, it is difficult to stimulate the body with acupuncture needles by removing a point only 0.1 mm from the surface of the human body, and this is a skill that takes years of polishing.

Acupuncture points cannot be understood only from what is written in textbooks. Textbooks show the location of acupuncture points, but the angle, depth, and direction of acupuncture points must be explored with one’s own hands to capture the reactions.

Acupuncture and moxibustion will not be effective unless the acupuncture points are accurately located. Also, acupuncture needles that are delivered to the acupuncture points are not painful.

There are still many difficulties in acupuncture and moxibustion, but through trial and error and research, we have advanced with the concept of “painless and fearless acupuncture and moxibustion.

I am now at the point where I am finally able to provide acupuncture and moxibustion treatment that is comfortable and easy for the patient.

Even now, I do not want to give acupuncture treatments that make patients “get better,” and make them endure pain and fear and brace themselves to receive the treatment.

We will continue to research this type of acupuncture in order to minimize stimulation as much as possible and to make the patient feel “comfortable and pleasant” during the treatment.

Of course, this includes providing proper improvement.
